Spring is here!

Well it is finally the end of March and it has been fun getting to know the natural world in even the harshest of conditions.   I have made a commitment to myself to bird every day, for anywhere from 5 to 45 minutes or more.  I have met some amazing people on my way and learned about the wonderful species close to.my home.  I like to focus on birding within 2 hours of home here in Lambton County!  Though I do like to see what others have experienced in other locales.

It has been rainy and warm lately and we have welcomed Song Sparrows Melospiza georgiana, Red Winged Blackbirds Agelaius phoeniceus,  Robins Turdus migratorius,  and Killdeer Charadrius vociferus back to SW Ontario.
